St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church is located at 1358 15th Place Southwest in Birmingham, just west of Elmwood Cemetery. On its front porch, inside the glass, is the cornerstone of its 1901 building. In a previous post I shared images of a 1949 stone for St. Mark A.M.E. on a building at 1529 6th Street North. Evidently while this stone followed the congregation to the new location, the later stone was left behind.
