Birmingham Churches and Their Cornerstones 103
St. Symeon Orthodox Church is a congregation of the Orthodox Church in America founded in 1977. For many years it worshiped in a former Baptist church building on this site before building its own new temple in 2014 and converting the former church to a parish hall. Its cornerstone is probably the most recent one I have yet documented in this series.

For more on the church’s history and the various sites it as worshiped, see the entry on it on Bhamwiki.

Map of Posts in this Project
This is an interactive map. Clicking on any marker will enable you to access a link to the post of the church. The type of marker corresponds to the type of cornerstone at the site. Stones with dates and at most one individual’s name, like this, are light blue. Click here for full information on the markers.
